They say the devil’s in the detail…and we’ve got detail in spades! Much of it takes place in the background, but this is our tried-and-true formula that ensures you get the best results.
Step One: Welcome!
Your first contact with Millbrook Kitchens begins with our Showroom Manager. A chat will unearth a realm of information – for you and for us! We’ll take you on a tour of our showroom where you’ll see and experience a range of demo kitchens, from high-end projects to budget-friendly options. Importantly, you’ll see firsthand the quality of our work. No matter your budget, ALL our kitchens are made with mortice and tenon joins that are reinforced with screws.
We’ll introduce you to concepts, get a feel for your budget and discuss timelines. And you’ll leave informed, educated and excited!
Step Two: Kitchen Designer Allocation
Now the fun begins! Your project will be allocated to one of our fabulous designers. However, don’t expect an overnight miracle. Our designers pride themselves on giving 100% to every job and they will book you into their next available time slot, giving them space to focus on you and only you.
If it’s a renovation, they’ll meet you onsite. If it’s a new build, they’ll work off plans. You will receive a one-hour no-obligation free consultation and a one-hour presentation of your joinery, along with a quote.
Like what you see? At this point, we’ll request a commitment fee and then we’ll crack on with the finalised design, including all the unseen elements that make a kitchen function well, like custom drawer inserts and adjustable dividers for pots and pans, as well as bench surfaces, colours and textures.
Step Three: Job Activation!
Now we move behind the scenes to our unsung heroes, the people who turn your hopes and dreams into reality. Your kitchen will be scheduled for manufacture, including an estimated install date.
Your project manager will be in touch to arrange an onsite measure so final adjustments can be made, ensuring your kitchen fits like a glove.
Step Four: Programming Matters
It’s a finicky business dealing in millimetres, but we have programmers who love fine detail! Every millimetre in your kitchen counts, and our programmers are experts at their job, adding here, shaving there, all before a single cut is made in a sheet of board.
Step Five: Machining
This is where the programmer’s work pays off. Their drawings are shared with our machinists and the cutting begins! Our machinist plays a crucial role in transforming raw materials into precise, ready-to-assemble components. Every piece is cut, shaped and finished accurately ready for our joiners.
It’s also here that laser or PUR edging takes place, ensuring water resistance.
Step Six: Join ‘er Up
This is when your kitchen starts to take shape. Our clever joiners take the cut and prepared parts from the machinists and transform them into fully built kitchen units.
Step Seven: Delivery
Carefully packaged and labelled, the arrival of your kitchen is an exciting day. However, for our team, it’s a methodical day of organisation, one where we check everything has arrived, right down to the last screw.
Step Eight: Installation
We begin with cabinet, then worktop installation, followed by your plumbing, appliances and lighting. This is when your dream kitchen starts to become a reality!
Step Nine: Project Coordinator Checks
You’re the most important person in this kitchen, the person paying the bills, cooking dinner, washing up and living life, which is why our project coordinator checks in to see that you’re happy. We’ll make any required tweaks and adjustments, ensuring your kitchen is just so.
Step Ten: Your Kitchen is Complete
And just like that, your kitchen is done, ready for you to live your best life. But rest assured, we stand by our kitchens. We don’t expect you’ll need to call us – unless it’s to book your next kitchen – but we back ourselves to deliver only the best and we’ll stand by our promise.
